I don’t want anyone having access to that checking account. But could I deposit money in from my bank account to paypal without a fee in order to use them like I currently use the bank I have for online shopping and travel only? A couple of my mystery shopping companies pay into my paypal account and I generally leave it there for shopping, but it’s not very much at a time AND with dh wanting me to quit or at least cut way back on mystery shopping that could stop entirely. I definitely need a way to do my online shopping when I can get so much of what we use in our day to day lives so much cheaper.
Dh and ds have been after me for my Christmas/birthday list. It has been hard for me to come up with anything. I really want to be debt free in an uncluttered organized house. Talk about a gift! So I’ve asked for coupon books for chores and organizational items for my pantry and officу.
Ds just sent me an email reminding me that not this weekend but next he’s going to see his ungirlfriend (yep they are speaking again). Anyway, he says there is one of those used book stores that buys ALL your books (at a much discounted price of course) near her house and he has offered to take the boxes and boxes of books I have that I want to get rid of and sell them for me. Gazelle feed and clean book shelves all in one blow.
Even more so that he says he’ll help me get them all gathered and boxed up this weekend.
Ds went to exchange Christmas gifts with his ungirlfriend today. They have been best friends for about 16 years, but when they date they fight. So they don’t date. LOL!
Anyway his gift from her was beautiful! They went to DL Oct 2007 and the gift was a scrapbook made via Snapfish then beautifully personalized by her of their trip. It is a BEAUTIFUL album.
As he came in the door he told me that the sack he was handing me was NOT a Christmas gift for me, but that Ms H. has decided to not scrapbook any more. It was a large Disneyland sack and it was completely full of scrapbooking paper, stickers, decoupage art, 3D stickers, a LARGE MM icon punch, borders, embellishments, AND a brand new Mickey Mouse Scrapbook album. The big 12 x 12 one that has squares of Mickey faces on it with a photo frame in the middle of the front cover. We are talking probably $300 worth of Disney materials of all sorts! Of course some of it was missing because these were the materials she had bought to do the album she gave ds, but I am NOT bitching one little bit. Many of the packages had not even been opened. She also threw in her extra prints of the photos she had not included in the snapfish album.
I have thousands of WDW photos waiting on me to scrap. So guess who is planning a January full of scrapbooking! Whoo HOO!
I definitely know the feeling.
At first it seems so reasonable. After all, who could object to making a little extra money. But then the promises begin. And then comes the whammy:
If you can make some “extra” money doing it part time, what would happen if you did this full time? It’s fun. It’s easy. The money will just come rolling in! And you did it all because you wanted to change your life. You took control.
Every MLM makes this promise. My MLM is not your MLM. It really doesn’t matter. Pay your fee, sign up here, get a little money in their pocket and they will show you the way how to get $1000. After all if you started your own business, you might lose everything. They’re REALLY investing in you.
They are right. The time is now – to walk away. Be glad you had this epiphany now, not months and years in. Not months and years of in debt over your head in. Not completely devoid of relationships you once cherished in.
You are right to be skeptical. You are right to walk away. You are right to be disgusted.
You are not crazy. That gut feeling you have that this MLM is a bad idea? Listen to it.
If anyone knows the temptations of an MLM, I do. The promises they make – we all want to believe that we will be the one to make it.
You will make it.
Without them. Without the MLM.
here’s some of what I remember…cooked yellow squash without seeds, carrots, white potato without skin. baked chicken or fish or soft cheese–cottage cheese is a good one. applesauce and any canned fruit except pineapple. juice without pulp. pasta or rice. tomato sauce, but not the good stuff with the chunks of tomato and lots of spices.
I hope some of this helps…I just remember my patients not loving the diet.
Due to a recent surgery and possibly facing chemo and radiation (I find out more on Monday) my doctor has me on a high protein, low fiber, low carbohydrate diet. 1,000-1,200 calories per day
Basically this means, for me proteins: chicken, fish, creamy peanut butter, soft cooked eggs (no fried) and high protein Boost. Veggies but NOT any of the cole crops (broccoli family), corn or corn products, peas, beans or other legumes, no whole grain breads/pastas etc. No fried foods, low spices. No fresh fruit or veggis only canned or cooked to death. No leafy greens. No beef or other grisly meat. I am normally a big veggie and fruit eater, especially salads and the doctor is adamant NO SALADS.
So folks do any of you have any suggestions on what meals/recipes that would be tasty? I am already tired of Boost after being on it for at least one meal a day (I’m suppose to be doing 5 small meals daily–generally get in 2-3, no real appetite). Help!
1. The oncology radiologist told us this morning that in his opinion I did not need radiation for my cancer!!!! He didn’t think I would need chemo either. I am officially cancer free and they (6 doctors and 3 pathologists) say I have a 5% or less chance of reoccurrence in the same area.
2. We paid off our second mortgage.
I hope everyone is having as great as a Christmas Eve as we are.
So now it is time to take care of the Murphy hits that we received for Christmas.
1. The 30 year old furnace died. We are using wood heat (free) for right now, but by hot weather we will need the air conditioner.
2. All this horrible rain, our 16 year old roof sprang 3 leaks (2 around skylights and one in the dining room above the antique table). The skylight leaks the guys may be able to fix but the dining room one we have no idea where it is coming from.
Both of those repairs are very likely to be expensive. Besides those we have IRS for 2016 staring us in the face, most likely another $9,000 like last year.
If I can’t get BCBS to fix their error $6,000 out of pocket for 2015 will have to be paid. I am still working on this. You know me I won’t give up on that.
Then the payoff on the short term low interest loan we did for the fifth wheel is coming up due.
We want to pay all of this off before warm weather so we can bulk up our ffef and retire. Wish us luck. I did finally get my $2,000 back from the 3. Stooges last Monday. We used that money to help pay off the house.
Now that I am feeling so much better I am back to planning menus to live out of the pantries for as long as we can and decluttering more.
